It gives great pleasure to Announce the 25th Anniversary Edition of POSAC 2024 to be held at The Majestic Hotel Hyatt Regency in the Weikfield IT Park Pune on 8 and 9 June 2024.The PUNE ORTHOPAEDIC SOCIETY ESTABLISHED IN 1973, is celebrating its 51 ST ANNIVERSARY this year.

POSAC has been a conference organized for and by the members of POS since the last 24 years. The first time it was organized in 1999 by Dr. Anand Kelkar and Dr. Baldev Dudani the President and Secretary that year, since then it has been organized diligently year after year by different committees and has been attended widely, by delegates from Pune district, urban and rural and nearby districts like Ahmednagar, Nashik, Satara, Kolhapur, Miraj, Sangli, Ichalkaranji and Solapur etc. This year, on the 25th anniversary of POSAC, we have planned an academic cum social feast.

Our theme is “Trauma in Every Specialty, What's The Current Technique”. Every Orthopaedic Surgeon encounters and faces challenging and daunting fractures and dislocations, no matter which specialty they practice so we felt this theme would be interesting to one and all. We would prefer majority of delegates to take the residential package and make the conference more memorable, by interacting and learning all through the day, and party late into the night on Saturday the 8th June.

The Conference starts on Saturday morning with a brief inauguration at 8 AM and ends on Sunday after lunch. There will be more video demonstration and case discussion rather than didactic lectures. The usual sessions like free papers and Past President Oration, invited guest lectures will be there.

Dr. Sandeep Patwardhan will give the Past President Oration on his evolution as a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon. This promises to be a very interesting lecture. Our goal is to make the topics interesting for the General Orthopaedic Surgeon and ensure participation by one and all.
